Our Mission

The mission of our web page is to provide a method to distribute information to Camp Lejeune High School (CLHS and LHS) Alumni and provide a means of communication and contact for all former students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

The Lejeune High School Alumni is not an elected body of officers and committees, but it has existed through the dedication and hard work of several individuals and small groups (composed of grads and non-grads) that have teamed together.

The 1940’s alumni set the example for us by meeting together for years. Mr. Floyd Bryant and his National Honor Society kept the “alumni files” for years as their club project. When Mr. Bryant retired, the torch was passed to Rose Auber Brown, class of 1970 for many years, and then Mike Smith, class of 1961 took over as the “keeper of the alumni records.”

Lisa Beavers, class of 1988 and Anita Lancaster, class of 1977 took over the helm in 2010 and have maintained the records and organized the reunions that occur every five years.

We have several Facebook pages that are headed up by alumni that keep us informed of events, birthdays, deaths, and general “catching up.” Links to those pages are in the RELATED LINKS SECTION. All are closed groups, so you will have to ask to join.

Though many alumni have lived in many parts of the world, several of them claim Camp Lejeune as their “homebase.” That is why our All-Class Reunions are so successful. Our motto is, “Semper Fi Devilpups. Friends for Life.”
